Chandler was in her jammies tonight and I noticed that her adorable little wrist rolls were deep enough that they could be seen THROUGH the jammies! How cute is that?! Bracelets get lost in those things!

I love that her See 'n Say gets tossed to the side for the DS...who needs to know what sound an animal makes when you could be playing Mario!

Happy Birthday, Princess Chandler!!

Yesterday was Chandler's 1st birthday, and it was such a fun day! I let her do just about anything she wanted (which included eating Sweetart hearts for breakfast) and I spent a lot of the day preparing for the party. We did a ladybug theme and it was so adorable! Decorations, the cake and cupcakes, the balloons, everything was read and black and spotted. Thanks to everyone who came to the party. It was so much fun. Here are some shots of the festivities...

When she opened this See'n Say from Darcy, she yelled "Yay!" Guess she likes it!

I think she liked the IDEA of having a whole cake to herself, but since no one was telling her she couldn't have it, it lost a little of it's luster.

Although none of the cake actually made it into her mouth, she did manage to make a mess of it...

...which is why she required the bath in the sink at the end of the night.

Chandler was born on January 13th, 2008 at 2:57 am. She weighed 7 pounds, 10 ounces and was 20 1/2 inches long. She's come a LONG way since then! She is now 21 pounds and 30 1/2 inches long. She says lots of words including Mom (which she already says with attitude), kitty, meow, NO!, bye, uh-oh, "ho, ho, ho" (when you asked her what Santa says), why, MeMe (Amy), Mya, baby, mine...She knows where her hair, teeth, belly button and boobs (thanks, Aunt Brooke) are. She doesn't walk yet, but she would if no one would watch her. She climbs stairs, claps at the end of prayers, is obsessed with kitties (even though she really doesn't like them and cries when one is near her) and is a total Mommy's girl. I love her with all my heart and she is my little princess. I'm so grateful for her! Happy Birthday, sweetheart!! I LOVE YOU!!

P.S. I have to give my mom a HUGE thank you for her help with the party. I never could have pulled it off without her. Love you too, Momma!!

Catching up...

Wow...it seems like Christmas was just yesterday, but it's been over 3 weeks! I can't believe how time has flown. New Year's has come and gone, and January is nearly half over. It's crazy! Just wanted to post some cute pictures and share some news...I'M ENGAGED!! Mike proposed on Saturday, but please don't ask when it will be, because we have NO idea. Both of us have houses that need to be sold, so it may be a while in this economy. I'm so excited though. Mike is such a great guy and is exactly what I have been looking for. I just don't know why I couldn't have found him sooner!

A VERY Merry Christmas!!

Chandler's first Christmas was a great one! Lots of presents!! The weather made it so that the family had to stay over a little longer than normal, which was a lot of fun. We ate, and laughed, and then ate some more. Here are a few highlights....

Huggins Family

Friday night was the Huggins family Christmas party. It was the first one since Grandma and Grandpa came home from their mission in Nauvoo and it was a lot of fun! Santa came and brought all of the little kids (and some bigger kids, TY!) presents. There was great food and even better company!

Barraclough Family

Saturday it was the Barraclough's turn to throw the party. The weather was a little scary for some (that will teach you to leave the house at 2 when the party STARTS at 2, Amy and Ryan!) but we all arrived alive. Piggies

The piggies are multiplying! We started with 1, then moved up to 2, now we can do 4! It takes a long time (and a LOT of patience!) but it's so cute!!

I probably don't need to tell you this, but this is after she pulled them out. She was good though and kept them in for about 12 hours. What a nice girl!

The Reason I'm Slacking on my Blog Lately....

His name is Mike Evans....isn't he cute?! He's nice, too. He went to TWO (extended) family parties with me this weekend, and didn't complain once. Chandler loves him, too, which is saying a lot! I think I'll keep him!
